High Pressure Laminate (HPL)
High Pressure Laminate, also called a refractory board, is a strong, heat-treated board made from layers of paper and resin. It is a fire-safe, decorative surface used in buildings. AIS Industries HPL is made from a top film, melamine paper for looks, and kraft paper soaked in strong phenolic resin.
Benefits of HPL:
- Realistic, bold designs
- Many color and pattern options – wood, stone, metal, and more
- Textured surfaces that feel like real materials
- Tough and wear-resistant
- Flexible sheets that bend for smooth edges on counters and tops
- Custom designs available
Looks and Feel:
HPL is stylish and made to look great. Our designs are based on nature but improved with tech. The surface feels like real wood, stone, or fabric. There are endless styles and options to choose from.
Why Choose HPL?
HPL is strong, easy to use, and comes in many styles — even custom prints made with digital or screen methods.
Unlike TFL, 3DL, or foil, HPL can be shaped and fixed on-site. You can cut it with basic tools and glue it using normal adhesives. It's easy to trim into strips for neat panel edges.
HPL is tougher than most laminates. It stands up well to bumps and wear, and has been used for over 75 years in homes and public spaces.
Since HPL is simple to shape and install, it works well with many base boards, letting builders mix looks, cost, and strength.
